We are proud to work alongside Richard Mathonnet who is a private instructor who has been here in Chatel for over 20 years. He is a fully experienced and trained ski instructor and guide who is English speaking. He works alongside a team of very experienced and qualified instructors who are able to provide a personal and professional service tailor made to your group requirements. Whether you are a complete beginner, advanced skier or boarder looking for a challenge he will be able to provide you with the appropriate level of tuition.

Price are based on number of people in a group and number of hours – 1 person 1 hour 55€

International Ski School - Private Lessons

We can pre book private lessons with the International ski school. Lessons are available in 2 hr slots 9.00-11.00 and 11.00-13.00 and are available for skiers and boarders of all levels in groups of 1 – 8 people.
Prices start from 52€ for 1 hour for 1-2 people
90€ 2 hours for 1-2 people, 100€ 2 hours 3 people etc…

All our teachers and office staff are fluent English speakers (If you count Scottish!) and I speak French and German and Spanish too but all our lessons are in English only

For skiers who have skied on dry slope only, have limited ski experience or have maybe skied many years ago. This course will refresh the basics on the nursery area before moving onto blue slopes.

Improving Parallel – Adult Intermediate Class

Beginner Classes – First Time Junior Class

This course helps them to balance while sliding on the flat, to form a snow plough with their skis, develop turning under control and discover the joy of skiing. The BASS Chatel Junior programme accepts children from 7 years of age.

Skier Green – Junior Beginners Class
Course Format: 5x 2h - Start Day : Monday, 9:15 - 11:15 (British School holiday periods only)

Courses for Junior Skiers who can make a controlled descent of a green run. This course helps them to flow more smoothly, increasing the fun for less effort.
The BASS Chatel Junior programme accepts children from 7 years of age.

Skier Blue 1 – Junior Intermediate 1 Class
Course Format: 5x 2h - Consecutive days - Start Day : Monday, 11:30 - 1:30 (British School holiday periods only)
Number of clients: Min 3, Max 6

Courses for junior skiers who can make a controlled, unaided descent of a blue run using snowplough turns. This course helps them to use their skis and the slope more effectively. This increases the fun from each day. These skiers may hold the level 3 UKSA award.

Skier Blue 2 – Junior Intermediate 2 Class
Course Format: 5x 2h. - Consecutive days - Start Day : Monday, 11:30 - 1:30 (British School holiday periods only)
Number of clients: Min 3, Max 6
Cost: £145
Courses for junior skiers who can ski confidently on a blue run, letting the skis become parallel before the end of the turn. These skiers may have skied carefully on easy red runs. This course helps them to develop towards parallel skiing and the joy of flowing elegantly. These skiers may hold the level 4 UKSA award.

Skier Red 1 – Junior Advanced Skier Class
Course Format: 5x 2h - Consecutive days - Start Day : Monday, 11:30 - 1:30 (British School holiday periods only)
Number of clients: Min 3, Max 6
Cost: £145
Courses for junior skiers who can make a free flowing descent of blue and easy red runs. They will ski parallel on easier terrain. This course helps them become more effective and safer on steeper slopes and at higher speeds. The tactics of these situations are explored. These skiers may hold the level 5 UKSA award.

Private lessons
Course Format: - Anytime , between 9:15 and 5:00

Add £10 per hour for each additional person.

Any client attending a course with us is ENTITLED TO A SPECIAL DISCOUNT on private tuition.
2 people for the price of 1 (ie £60 per hour instead of £70 per hour for 2)
